RP7440 Disk issue
When trying to create a physical volume the command just hangs indefinitely. Also, preforming a read/write exercise through stm just puts the disk into a hung state. Any ideas from anyone?
Thanks

Re: RP7440 Disk issue
What actual disk are you referring to (upper left, etc) and what controller was replaced? The internal drive bays are controlled by more than one controller is why I ask.

Re: RP7440 Disk issue
# diskinfo /dev/rdsk/c7t11d0
SCSI describe of /dev/rdsk/c7t11d0:
vendor: HP 73.4G
product id: ST373405FC
type: direct access
size: 71687369 Kbytes
bytes per sector: 512
If it says 520 then you'll need to reformat the disk with JBODfmt.

Re: RP7440 Disk issue
It turns out that there was a bent pin on the internal SCSI cable that goes from the drive backplane to the PCI controller(AB290A). Pin was straightened and everything is fine now. Thank you for your replies.
