Re: RP8400
If the part number is different the configuration may not be supported. There may be firmware issues to deal with.

Re: RP8400
The hp part code for this cell board is probably A6443-69001.
you can use it in both rp7410 & rp8400
http://partsurfer.hp.com/cgi-bin/spi/main?sel_flg=partlist&model=RP7410&HP_model=&modname=9000+Server+-+rp7405%2F7410&template=main&plist_sval=Processor&plist_styp=subcat&dealer_id=&callingsite=&strsrch=&keysel=Processor&catsel=%3F
http://partsurfer.hp.com/cgi-bin/spi/main?sel_flg=partlist&model=RP8400&HP_model=&modname=9000+Server+-+rp8400&template=main&plist_sval=Processor&plist_styp=subcat&dealer_id=&callingsite=&strsrch=&keysel=Processor&catsel=%3F&pictype=I&picture=%3F&uniqpic=
Hope this helps.

Re: RP8400
Note, that if both boards have processors of the same speed, you can use the boards in one hard partition. If the boards have processors with different speed, you can use the boards with different hard partitions only.
