Re: Remote Console Poblem
Hi Vick,
PDC is the latest.
Can you post the Console Log from the last boot session that shows the console paths? Are your h/w console paths set correctly? Which version of GSP do you have A6696A or A6696B (cntl b, HElp will display GSP version)?
The A6696A uses:
0/0/4/0.0 Console
0/0/4/0.1 UPS
0/0/4/0.2 Remote (modem)
A6696B:
0/0/4/1.0 Console
0/0/4/1.1 UPS
0/0/4/1.2 Remote (modem)
GSP LAN (both):
0/0/5/0
The O/S should see these devices:
# ioscan -fnC tty
Class I H/W Path Driver S/W State H/W Type Description
==================================================================
tty 0 0/0/4/0 asio0 CLAIMED INTERFACE PCI Serial (103c1048)
/dev/GSPdiag1 /dev/mux0 /dev/tty0p1
/dev/diag/mux0 /dev/tty0p0 /dev/tty0p2
tty 1 0/0/5/0 asio0 CLAIMED INTERFACE PCI Serial (103c1048)
/dev/GSPdiag2 /dev/mux1
/dev/diag/mux1 /dev/tty1p1
/0/0/4/0 is the Console
/0/0/5/0 is the GSP LAN
IMHO it *looks* like your using the A6696B GSP and the terminal paths might not be right. Devices tty0 not assigned, tty1 using the A6696B settings and I don't see the GSP devices assigned. However, I'm referencing an L3000 with an A6696A GSP and they *should* be similar to the L1500, but I don't have one to verify this on.
Anyone please jump in and correct me if I'm wrong.
