Removing POINTOPOINT setting on NIC
Due to butterfingers I managed to mis-type an ifconfig command and have configured my lan1 as a PPP interface.
Aside from a reboot, is there any way to undo this? No ifconfig combination i've tried will remove the PPP designation.
cheers,
neil.

Re: Removing POINTOPOINT setting on NIC
Hi Neil, have you tried typing your command with "down" at the end of the line instead of "up" and then re-typing with your correct lan address

Re: Removing POINTOPOINT setting on NIC
Yep, tried all combinations. Just doesn't seem to be a "re-initialise" option. I even tried resetting and self-testing the card via lanadmin but that didn't help either.
Haven't found any other info around this online...maybe it's an inherent bug in HP-UX networking?
cheers,
neil.

Re: Removing POINTOPOINT setting on NIC
Does anyone know of a workaround for this?
