Re: Server not booting - need help

Shalom,

You have a problem with the storage related to the boot disk.

It may be the disk itself, but it could be as simple as an unterminated scsi connection on any part of the disk infrastructure.

Visually inspect the system for problems, check the seating of any scsi cables.

If this does not fix it, you may need to do a hardware service call, if the machine has support.

Re: Server not booting - need help

Hi ,

How many disks are u used for root vg. for activating the vg quroum should meet. If the quorum is not meeting it will not activate.

Re: Server not booting - need help

SEP,

Disk is internal, not part of JBOD or storage. Since i am from offshore not able to verify scsi terminations..
Best wishes,

Re: Server not booting - need help

Seems like you have a bad disk. Will probably need to reinstall os or restore from ignite after replacing disk.

Re: Server not booting - need help

Hi Ganesan,

Can you confirm if this server has got boot mirroring configured?

IF yes, then mirror boot disk may save life here :-)

What you get when you go to CM> prompt under BCH menu and run search ?

CM>> search

paste info here...
