I wanted to install PHSS_30726 on 9000/800/A500-5X i believe this is Firmware patch

I am not sure is it normal procedure to install this patch or different so can you help with the steps.

Shalom,

HP sort of changed mid stream on how firmware updates work.

For 11.11 HP-UX they were delivering firmware updates by a single patch that had to be run standalone.

However the methodology was changed and to be fully up to date it became necessary to perform an obtuse ftp style update.

Also, you can't just go to the latest firmware, you have to update in steps.

Best recommendation is to at least to the patch based update, but to be fully up to date and comply with best practices, you may have to follow the new procedure, possibly more than once.
