Hi, I need help.

Server rp3410, hpux 11.11

My problem it is not in the OS. It is on the mp console. Check it out below:

The questioN; how can i turn the LED SYSTEM into GREEN.

I tried to read the logs several times, unsuccesfully.

The output table is just not readable.

I remember an issue with old firmware, please check your version.

But it is possible that the system continuously logs errors - check the logs.

No, the system is not logging erros since last week when I cleared the logs, but vfp still shows the led SYSTEM in red.

Hi Jose,

It's difficult to say anything (as there are no MP logs), but you can diagnose rp3410 with:

1. Check the status of Standby LED; which is located reat left of the server.
--> This standby LED comes on as soon as the systemâ s power cord is plugged in. If this
light is off when you plug it in, reseat the power supply.

2. There is BMC LED --> be viewed through the rear (from middle) cooling vents.
--> A few seconds after the system is plugged in this LED starts blinking, which means that the baseboard management controller is active.

I will suggest you to unplug the power for 5 minutes & plug it in back. If there is any FW initializaion issue, then it can be solved by doing this.

Also, if the BMC LED is not blinking, then the sys brd has issues.

to MP FW : E.02.29
first, read the notes!

Thanks Torsten, but my customer is afraid in doing this because it is a critical server that cannot stop and there is no HA.

IMHO continue with such old firmware is more risky than an update ...

Read about all the fixes and you will know about the potential risk.
