Vpars

I have a rp7410 server configured with npars/vpars with 2 cells. I had to power the system down over the weekend and when I powered it back up the nPartition was booted, however only 3 of the 6 vpars joined. The cell 0 states that it is powering up but the cell does not ever come online.

Re: Vpars

Shalom,

Not a lot to go on but it suggests a hardware problem. I'd have HP hardware come in and give the cell a look. I'm guessing this cell hosts the three vpars that did not come up.

Re: Vpars

The " MP:CM> ps " command will show you the status of the cabinet and cells - what is the current status?

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

I would start with Hardware support, considering the error above.

Re: Vpars

Hi,

This shows why all the vpars not booted. Since your CORE cell is not able to join the partition due to hardware error, vpars part of the cell is not able to boot.

Involve HP to rectify or replace the cell.
Best wishes,

Ganesh.

Re: Vpars

Shalom again,

Based on additional evidence: Definitely a hardware call. No doubt in my mind.
