add memory in rp8420

we need to add dimms to rp8420, but we have a doubt, we see the following requirement "Memory must be installed in quads (4 DIMMs of equal density)" in http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11894_na/11894_na.HTML, however, in A6912-96023.pdf manual say "DIMMs must be loaded in sets of two at specified locations on the cell board."

What is correct configuration?

Thank you.

Re: add memory in rp8420

AFAIK pairs ("echelons") are enough, but for performance reasons you should always use "pairs of echelons" = quads. Note: The page you posted says "memory is always **sold** as quads", so use quads to get performance.

Hope this helps!
