console refuses connection from one server but allows from another

Hello,

do consoles themselves have any kind of setting to allow connections from certain IP addresses, but to restrict other IP addresses? The problem I have is that I can connect to a certain console from one server, but it says it refuses the connection from another one. Ping and traceroute to the console work from both servers.

With "console", I guess you mean a GSP / MP / iLO MP network console, right?

Which server model has the issue?

Are the servers you're attempting to connect from located in the same network segment as the console? If not, an external firewall device might be choosing which connections to reject and which to accept.
