Connect the serial cable from the local console port of your N4000 to the COM port of your PC & use hyperterminal to connect to the COM port.

Shalom,
Connect a null modem cable to the serial port of the PC. Use hyperterminal which is an optional windows component to act as a terminal, default settings.
You could use procomm plus for windows
You could use Linux, a real OS as well.

You can use following cable.
HP RS-232C CABLE-9 PIN(F)-9PIN(F)
HP Partnumber: 5184-1894
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html
Download and install putty on your PC and use the following serial settings;
Speed (baud) 9600
Data bits 8
Stop bits 1
Parity None
Flow control XON/XOFF
