ioscan error

RP5470 on HPUX 11.11 , 2GB port HBA card connect to the Brocade with 8 ports 4GB san switch to the EVA4100 ,ioscan -fnC disk display so many many disk device. the HBA card connect to the DS2405 is good ,Brocade san switch is good.Maybe the patch is need update?

hi Johnny,

please post the ioscan -fnCfc, ioscan -fn and ioscan -fnCdisk O/Ps.


assumedly you are able to see the Alternate paths also.

You see 8 devices for your DS2405 as expected.

No problem here.


You see also many LUNs from an EVA as NO_HW, maybe LUNs are unpresented.

If you reboot the server, all the EVA disks will be gone.

but the disk link much more than 22 .that's so abnormal

All HSV200 devices are from EVA - furthermore all disk devices from EVA were presented in a WRONG mode!

Reboot the server and you will see only your 8 disk devices from your DS2405.
