power supply mystery
Greetings, I have an rp8400. One of the 6 power supplies in the front was dead, so I got a replacement. When I put it in, it started blinking orange. From the MP console - all supplies show good, enabled, etc - but the light is still blinking. I attached images. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: power supply mystery
Two things you can check...
First off, continue on with viewing the PS, T output and look for the BPS fans to see if any are failing.
Second, view the event logs from the MP (SL, E) to see if any new events have been logged since you replaced the PS.

Re: power supply mystery
hi,
you might need to get the system mp to re-read the BPS status.
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=115&prodSeriesId=2512349&prodTypeId=15351&objectID=c01913284
I do remember something similar on another system, where we had to do a soft reset of the MP to get it see the PSU's right with the xd command in the MP.
