I have spent days searching online and there are many pointers but none seem to find the exact product.

Re: rp2450 A class Server
If you have hardware contract with HP, log a case with them.
They only have the firmware for GSP. I do not think you can download from anywhere unless HP release that as a patch.

SolutionIt's still available in the "archived patches" section of the ITRC FTP server, but web links to it seem to be gone.
Patch notes (including installation instructions):
ftp://ftp.itrc.hp.com//archived_patches/firmware_patches/hp/cpu/PF_CPREGSPA0112.txt
The actual patch:
ftp://ftp.itrc.hp.com//archived_patches/firmware_patches/hp/cpu/PF_CPREGSPA0112.tar.gz
This GSP firmware upgrade is *not* installable by swinstall. You'll need to place the firmware files to a FTP server that is accessible through the GSP's LAN connection. Then use the local console terminal to activate the GSP's upgrade mode and answer the prompts. The upgrade is much slower than with the Revision B GSPs; don't panic.

Re: rp2450 A class Server
Hi Bill,
Agreed to the point suggested above, HP doesnt support customer upgrading system firmware, you need to register a case for this and get the onsite engineer to do this activity.
Best Regards,
Prashanth

Re: rp2450 A class Server
However, I was advised to upgrade the GSP firmware to fix a problem with sytsem Panic whilst trying to load HPUX 11.11.
The error I was getting and still getting is:-
Alert Level 12 - Software Failure
Source: 1 = processor
Source Detail: 1 = processor general source ID: 0
Problem Detail: = no problem code.
---------------------
Swapping the system disk with another working set from another A class that works gives the same error
