I have a working rp7420 with an A6913A cell board in it.It has an A6437A PA8800 1 ghz proc. When I try and replace it with an AB537A PA8900 1.1 ghz proc I get an unsupported cpu error and the cell halts. I have done this before and it has worked. Does anyone have an idea?
Thanks
Jon

Re: rp7420
I agree with Duncan, check the firmware version.
this was addressed in the latest release, see note from firmware release
*The system firmware supports the rp8420 and rp7420 systems
with 4.1 PA-8900 PA-RISC processors running at 1.1GHz.
