Oracle OEM & SNMP.

Hi All
I'm investigating turning off SNMP on our UNIX servers as we do not use any network monitoring applications (eg NNM or ITO). However I understand that Oracle's Enterprise Manager uses SNMP, but that they have their own daemon, dbsnmp running.
Does anybody know if there are issues for OEM if I turn off SNMP.

Thanks for any help.

Cheers
Con

Re: Oracle OEM & SNMP.

Hi

In our enviroment we have servers running snmp and some not, and both types running Oracles Intelligent Agent, and as far as I can see this works independend of the servers own snmp.

So I think the Intelligent Agent can work on its own as long as you do not need it to trigger any other applications than OEM.
