시스템 부팅이 안됩니다.

시스템은 L2000 서버인데 다음과 같은 메시지가 나오면서 부팅이 안됩니다. 원인과 해결방법좀 알려주세요.

CPU에 문제가 있는걸로 보이는데 정확한건 아닙니다.

아래와 비슷한 증상이면

boot 패스 찾지 못해서 발생하는 문제인것 같습니다.

디스크가 나갔거나, 스카시 패스 이상하거나, 부트 커널 손상때문 이거나

원인은 좀더 정보가 있어야 할거 같은데

우선 미러 디스크 패스로 부팅해보세요.

So what's wrong here ?





RESOLUTION



There are a few reasons:



1) The boot string is not correct:



Boot

: disk(0;0)/stand/vmunix <<<---- here , this is not correct



Because usually it should tell us the hardware path of boot device for example

in my case:

Boot

: disk(1/0/0/2/0.6.0.0.0.0.0;0)/stand/vmunix <<<-- here



Solution:

- Use mkboot to place boot utilities in the boot area:



# mkboot -l /dev/rdsk/cXtYdZ <--- where cXtYdZ boot disk



- Use mkboot to add an AUTO file in boot LIF area:



# mkboot -a "hpux" /dev/rdsk/cXtYdZ <--- where cXtYdZ boot disk



- Check the contents of the AUTO file with



# lifcp /dev/rdsk/cXtYdZ:AUTO -



- shutdown the server and test again



2) Make sure the boot definition is correct. Verify with:



# lvlnboot -v



For example:



# lvlnboot -v

Current path "/dev/dsk/c1t0d0" is an alternate link, skip.

Boot Definitions for Volume Group /dev/vg00:

Physical Volumes belonging in Root Volume Group:

/dev/dsk/c0t15d0 (8/4.15.0) -- Boot Disk

Boot: lvol1 on: /dev/dsk/c0t15d0

Root: lvol3 on: /dev/dsk/c0t15d0

Swap: lvol2 on: /dev/dsk/c0t15d0

If there is something wrong in the boot definition, then fix them with:



# lvlnboot -R or

# lvlnboot -b /dev/vg00/lvol1

# lvlnboot -r /dev/vg00/lvol3

# lvlnboot -d /dev/vg00/lvol2
