싱글 유저 모드 방법

OS : HP-UX hp-ux B.11.11



싱글 유저로 부팅하기 위해서 아래와 같이 했지만 싱글로 들어가지 않는데 답변 좀 부탁 드리겠습니다.

프롬프트는 unknown으로 나오며 런레벨은 3 으로 올라 옵니다.

제가 어느부분에서 잘못을 했는지요. ^^;

위의 인터럽트 걸린 alert 메세지는 잘못된 console path 에 의해서 나는것 같습니다. bch 모드에서 console path 를 다시 확인해보시기 바랍니다.



그리고 single 부팅하면 당연히 호스트 네임데몬의 읽어지지 않기때문에 unknown 으로 나옵니다.



그런데 who -r 했을때 run-level 이 3인게 이상하네요..



mountall 하시고 vi /etc/rc.log 를 확인해보세요~ 정말 3레벨까지 올라온것인지..

저도 예전에 이런문제로 고민을 해서 정리해 두었습니다.



이것은 잘못된 console path의 때문에 발생되는 것입니다.



첨부파일을 열어 확인하시기 바랍니다.

firmware upgrade는 하지 않았습니다. ^^; 어떻게 하는건지 몰라서요.

위 에러에 대해 패스를 바꿔봐도 안된다면



firmware 를 올려야합니다.(42.09 이상)



VERIFYING FIRMWARE REVISION WITH BOOT CONSOLE HANDLER (BCH)



1. Log on as root, and enter "shutdown -r". This command

will shutdown the Operating System and reboot the system.



2. If AUTOBOOT is on, you will receive the following message:



"Process is starting autoboot process

To discontinue, press any key within 10 seconds."



At this point, press ANY KEY within 10 seconds to

interrupt the booting process.



3. The Main Menu is displayed. A prompt will appear as

"MAIN MENU: Enter command or menu>".



Enter the command "in".



4. A prompt will appear as "Information Menu: Enter Command>"



Enter the command "fv"



The system will respond with the current firmware

revision. If the revision is not revision 43.50

your system will require a Firmware update. Follow the

instructions in the next section, CREATING THE FIRMWARE

UPDATE TAPE.

1. Verify the checksum of the file "PF_CHAW4350.frm" using

the "cksum" command. Results of the command should be

equal to "4050135777 3369984 PF_CHAW4350.frm".



2. Use the "dd" command to copy the file "PF_CHAW4350.frm"

to tape, as follows:



dd if=PF_CHAW4350.frm of=/dev/rmt/0m bs=2k

NOTE: Blocksize (bs) must be 2k

A series of messages will be displayed. No user

intervention is required. Proceed to step 5.



5. A message will be displayed as follows:



"F/W file Note:"

"A-Class PDC firmware image, Version 42.50"



"Continue (/n)?"



Enter "y".



CAUTION: FROM THIS POINT FORWARD, THIS PROCESS CANNOT

BE INTERRUPTED UNTIL COMPLETION. INTERRUPTING

THIS PROCESS WILL CAUSE YOUR SYSTEM TO BE

INOPERATIVE.



6. The update should take approximately two minutes.

After the tape has been read by the update

program, a message will be displayed as follows:



"Firmware downloaded SUCESSFULLY!"

THIS UTILITY WILL NOW RESET THE SYSTEM....



7. The system will automatically reset, and the boot

process will begin. Boot your system with your

normal process.



If there is a problem with your system after the

update, please contact your service representative.
