# /sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc stop
# /sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc start

Good day~~

PROBLEM
Is it possible to remove or connect the USB mouse and keyboard when the Xserver is running?
RESOLUTION
The ability to dynamically disconnect/reconnect USB input devices has been added to the Xserver through the following patches. As a result, if the USB mouse and/or keyboard are removed from the system, the Xserver will be able to use them when they are reconnected to the host.
HP-UX 11.23 (IPF)
PHSS_30502 Xserver cumulative patch
PHKL_29562 HW enablement: gvid graphics multicard
(dependency for PHSS_30502)
NOTE: The USB input devices (mouse and keyboard) are ONLY hot-swappable while the Xserver is running. They cannot be hot-swapped on EFI shell mode.
HP-UX 11.11 (PA-RISC)
PHSS_30871 Xserver cumulative patchHP-UX 11.00 (PA-RISC)
PHCO_26447 USB hot attach/detach daemon
PHSS_30188 Xserver cumulative patch
To determine if you already have these patches installed, use the /usr/bin/swlist utility. For example:
# /usr/bin/swlist -l product | grep PHSS_30502
CORRESPONDING LOG FILES
HP-UX 11.23 (IPF)
Information regarding whether the USB input devices (mouse and keyboard) are connected or disconnected, is stored in the /var/X11/Xserver/logs/Xf86.0.log log file:
Example 1 (DISCONNECTED):
(II) Mouse0: Core pointer device detachedExample 2 (CONNECTED):
(**) Option "Device" "NULL"
(**) Option "Device" "/dev/hid/mouse_000"
(II) Mouse0: Core pointer device attached and re-initializedNOTE: No log information will be displayed by the /usr/sbin/dmesg utility or in the /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log log file.
HP-UX 11.00 / 11.11 (PA-RISC)
Information regarding whether the USB input devices (mouse and keyboard) are connected or disconnected, is stored in the /var/dt/Xerrrors log file:
Example 1 (DISCONNECTED):
Core pointer device detached - temporarily using 'null' pointer
Core keyboard device detached - temporarily using 'null' keyboardExample 2 (CONNECTED):
Detected added keyboard device - configuring as core keyboard
Detected added pointer device - configuring as core pointerWhen the USB input devices are connected to the system, the /usr/sbin/dmesg utility will contain the hardware paths and "hid" formats for the devices.
For example:
10/0/14/2.1.2 hid
10/0/14/2.1.3 hid

This implementation has NOT been tested for HP-UX 11.11 (PA-RISC); however, the functionality should exist.
This functionality is NOT available for HP-UX 10.20, refer to Defect Report, JAGaf08803, for more information.
