NT와 HP-UX간의 NTP 구성방법 (고광태님, 김병수님 또,,,,추가질문여)

안녕들하세요..

다름이 아니라...NT서버와 HP-UX간 NTP를 구성하고자 합니다..

HP-UX 서버가 여러대중 A(HP01) 서버가 hp-ux간의 Time server로

구성은 되어있습니다..



NT서버 한대를 Time Server로 두고

hp-ux간의 time server인 A(HP01)서버를 NT와 NTP구성을 하려고

합니다.



물론 가능하겠지요...



방법을 부탁드립니다...



일단 고광태님말씀대로 해보았으나 아래의 message가 나옵니다..

A(HP01)#/etc/rc.config.d]ntpq -p

ntpq: read: Can't assign requested address

A(HP01)#/etc/rc.config.d]/sbin/init.d/xntpd start

11 Jan 18:00:17 ntpdate: no server suitable for synchronization found



뭐가 잘못 되었나요...



음...김병수님과 고광태님의 말씀대로 /etc/ntp.conf파일을 다음과 같이 기술해놓았습니다..

server 127.127.1.10

server 10.50.100.100 <-- NT Time server



그리고 난 후

#]ntpdate 10.50.100.100

13 Jan 09:09:30 ntpdate: no server suitable for synchronization found

#]ntpq -p

remote refid st t when poll reach delay offset disp

==============================================================================

라고 나오고 과 동기화가 되지를 않습니다...

NT 서버 를 time 서버로 지정하기만 하면 간단히 구성할수가 있습니다.

즉 HP-UX 서버를 클라이언트와 서버 셋팅이 같이 되면 됩니다.

현재로 사용중이라면 서버셋팅은 되어있을것이고



클라이언트로 구성만 하면 되지요



NTP Client

# cd /etc/rc.config.d

# /sbin/init.d/xntp stop

# vi netdaemons



export NTPDATE_SERVER= NT node name or IP address

export XNTPD=1



# ntpdate ntp server

# /sbin/init.d/xntp start

제생각엔 /etc/ntp.conf file에서 missing이 나는것 같군요.



# vi /etc/ntp.conf

server 203.248.240.103



이런식으로 마지막 field에

server ip_address ==> 이것은 NT에서 사용하고 있는 ntp server 의 ip_address입니다.



그런다음 다시 해보시기 바랍니다.

ntp 설정후 바로 동기화는 되지 않습니다,



# ntpq -c rv

위의 값중에서 "reftime"의 값이 "00000000.00000000"에서 HexaDecimal값으로

변하면 일단 성공임.



# ntpq -p



로 다시 확인해 보시기 바랍니다.

이게 의심이 가네요..itrc에 비슷한 문제가 많던데..

제 생각은 일단 HP는 문제가 없는 것 같습니다..

Window에서 받아들이지를 못하는것 같더군요......



이를 어찌 해결해야할쥐......ㅠ,.ㅠ

Note that the NT system does NOT use w32time. The NT system

uses a third party's NTP software.

Using a Windows server with w32time as an SNTP server to service

XNTP/NTP (full implementation) servers is NOT RECOMMENDED. This

environment is known to be unreliable.



Because the design goal behind W32Time was operability with

Kerberos V5 authentication, and not keeping time accurate to the

microsecond (as provided by the NTP protocol), developers chose

to incorporate SNTP into the W32Time service running on primary

servers and clients in Windows 2000. By using the SNTP protocol,

W32Time meets the requirement of "loose synchronization" with

other hosts on the network as specified in RFC 1510. The SNTP

protocol ensures that all clocks in an enterprise are within 20

seconds of one another, and all clocks in a site are within two

seconds of one another.
