autoraid 관련 질문입니다.

안녕하세요. 제가 오래된 장비는 잘 몰라서 질문드립니다.



N4000 장비에 Autoraid가 붙어있는데 event log에 다음과 같은 로그가 떴습니다.



Summary:

Disk Array at hardware path :

Active Hot Spare request can not be accomplished. Not enough physical

space to provide active hot spare.









Description of Error:





This event message is displayed when the available disk space is not

sufficient to rebuild data redundancy if the largest surviving disk

drive in the volume fails. This event can only occur if the option is

set to reserve enough space to ensure that a rebuild operation will

not fail.



Possible causes include:

1. Any 'down' or missing disk may have removed too much available space,

preventing any attempt at a rebuild operation.

2. Too much available disk space was allocated to SCSI LUNs before the

active spare reservation was requested.





여차저차해서 확인해 보니 디스크가 나가서 hot spare 공간이 없다고 하더군요.

(arraydisp 명령의 결과는 text 파일로 첨부했습니다)



autoraid는 말 그대로 자동으로 raid가 구성된다고 하던데, 초기 설정시 정확하게 어떤 식으로 raid와 hot spare가 구성되고 disk fault시 어떤식으로 action을 취해야 하는지 조언 부탁드립니다.



그리고 autoraid 관련 명령어도 간단히 설명해 주시면 감사하겠습니다.

안녕하십니까



일단 로그만 보고 말씀 드리겠습니다.



구성상 "Active Hot Spare Desired = ENABLED" 상태인데

"Used as Active Hot spare = 0 MB *" 이라면 디스크 장애가 발생되어 Active Hot Spare 부분을 장애 영역의 디스크로 대체되었기 때문입니다.

엄밀히 말하면 autoraid도 Raid 5 부분이므로 일반 array의 Raid 5 + Hot spare 상태라고 하시면 이해가 빠를 것입니다.



현재 include되어 있는 디스크가

A3

A2 __

A1 B1



이렇게 보이는데 물리저구디스크가 5개라면 B2 정도가 장애가 난것으로 생각됩니다.



일단 해당 디스크을 교체해주시면 문제는 자동해결될것으로 보입니다.

이때 주의해야 할점은 balance가 다 끝나야 하는 것인데 로그상 보면 다 완료된것으로 보입니다.



"Auto Include = ENABLED"

상태이므로 단순히 디스크만 교체해주시면 문제는 해결될것으로 보입니다
