data protector upgrade 관련 질문이요~

회사에서 현재 OMNIBACK 3.50 을 사용하고 있는데 이번에

Data Protector 5.1 로 Upgrade 를 하려고 합니다.



현재 OMNIBACK 3.50 DB 를 Backup 후 swremove 하고 Date Protector

5.1 을 설치했는데 설치 후 DB 를 Upgrade 하려고



# /opt/omni/bin/xomnidbupg



명령을 내리면 아래와 같은 Message 가 뜹니다.

현재 HP-UX 11.0 을 사용하고 있고~

CUI 기반으로 CDE 는 사용하고 있지 않습니다.

X-manager 로 Xterm 원격접속해서 사용하고 있습니다.

보니까 X-Server 문제 같은데 맞는지요~

어떻게 해야될지 모르겠네요 ㅡㅡ;;

HP Call Center 에서도 난감해하는거 같고 이부분에 관해선

잘 모르시더라구요 ㅠㅠ

현재 GUI 가 아니고 CUI 인데 Data Protector 는 CDE 기반으로

돌아가는 건지?

영문 Manual 보니까 CUI Interface 도 제공한다고 하던데 ㅡㅡ

위의 Message 가 X 와 관련이 있는거 같기는 한데 ㅡㅡ

어찌해야 되는지요~



CDE 를 올려야 하는건가요?

근데 제가 HP Sever 는 첨이라 잘모르겠네요 ㅠㅠ

조치방법을 알려주시면 감사하겠습니다.

는 단지 display 설정을 잘못하는 경우입니다.



만약, PC의 ip address가 192.168.1.1이라면



# export DISPLAY=192.168.1.1:0.0

하신후에

# /opt/omni/bin/xomnidbupg



다시 하여 보시기 바랍니다.

답변 감사드립니다.

일반 PC에서 Xmanager 실행하는 환경은 맞습니다.

하지만 위의 Error 메세지는 실서버 콘솔에서 실행하여도 마찬가지로

똑같은 Error Message 가 뜹니다.

실서버의 경우 말씀드렸다시피 CUI 기반으로 설치되어 있고

서버구입년도가 2000년이라 모니터가 8인치 정도의 콘솔모니터 입니다.



이전에 OMNIBACK3.50 을 사용하던 환경에서는 Xmanager 리모콘으로

Xterm 으로 접속하여 사용하였고 아무이상없이 잘 작동하였었습니다.

제 생각에 Data Protector 이 CDE 기반으로만 작동하는거 같은데

제 생각이 틀린건지요



님이 말씀하신대로 해보았지만 똑같은 Error Message 가 뜨는군요

만약 현재 상태에서 CDE 를 설치하면 될까요?

만약 CDE 를 설치해야한다면 그 방법은 어떻게 되는지요

GUI환경이라면 display가 되는 것으로 알고 있습니다.

잘은 모르겠으나 CUI든지 CDE환경인지는 문제가 되지 않는것으로 알고 있습니다.

GUI 환경이라면 된다는 말씀이 무슨 말씀이신지 이해가 잘 안됩니다.

현재 Server는 GUI 가 아니라 단지 CUI 로만 작동됩니다.



말씀하신대로 X 설정과 관련이 있어보이는데요~



OMNIBACK3.50 의 경우 /var/opt/omni 디렉토리에



windu 디렉토리가 없었는데~



Data Proctor 의 경우 /var/opt/omni/windu 라는 디렉토리가 새로

생성되더 군요 위의 Error Message 와 관련이 있을거 같군요~



X 설정이 잘못되어 있는걸까요~

아무것도 조치한게 없는데~

Data Proctor 의 구동환경이 OMNIBACK 과 틀린건지 ㅡㅡ

어떤 조치가 필요한지 감을 못잡겠네요~

똑같은 메시가 뜨네요



아마 설정하신 DISPLAY가 맞지 않아서 발생하는것 같습니다.

혹시 .profile에 DISPLAY가 setting되었는지 확인하시고 있으시면 삭제하십시오.

# dr_dt로 CDE의 이상여부을 확인하시고 에러가 없으시다면 /sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc stop 후 /sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc start

그리고 Xmanager로 접속해보십시오.

우선 xclock 등을 실행시켜 graphic이 뜨는지 확인하십시오.



xomnidbupg을 사용하는 비교적 쉬운니 가급적이면 CDE을 해결하시고 Data protector로 update하시는것이 좋을듯 합니다,

GUI을 사용하지 않고 그냥 명령어로 해결하시려면

첨부파일을 참조하십시오

1. Insert and mount the HP-UX installation CD-ROM to a mount point,

for example:

mkdir /cdrom

mount /dev/cd0 /cdrom

If you want to have on your local disk the DP_DEPOT directory, where

the installation files are stored, run the following command:

mkdir

cp -r /cdrom/DP_DEPOT

To copy the whole CD-ROM to your local disk, run:

cp -r /cdrom

2. Run the ./omnisetup.sh command. To run this command from the

CD-ROM, execute:

cd /cdrom/LOCAL_DP_AGENT_INSTALL

./omnisetup.sh

If you have copied the DP_DEPOT directory to your local disk as

/DP_DEPOT, go to the directory where the omnisetup.sh

command is stored, and run:

./omnisetup.sh -source

If you have copied the whole CD-ROM to , run the

omnisetup.sh command without any parameters:

cd /LOCAL_DP_AGENT_INSTALL

./omnisetup.sh

Refer to the omnisetup.sh man page for a description of the

omnisetup.sh command.

3. After the A.03.50 version of OmniBack II is detected, the IDB core

part upgrade is automatically started. If you want to perform a clean

installation (the database of the previous version will be deleted),

uninstall the old version and restart the installation.

As soon as the installation script finishes, the IDB core part is

upgraded. If you want to verify that the core part upgrade finished

successfully, run the /opt/omni/sbin/omnidbutil -upgrade_info

command, which displays the current upgrade status.

우선 먼저 말씀하신대로.profile 을 확인하여 보았으나

DISPLAY 는 설정되어 있지 않았습니다.



두번째로 # dr_dt 를 실행하여 보았는데 error 는 없는데

warning 이 11개가 뜨더군요 아래와 같습니다.



Dr_dt finished with:



0 ERROR messages

11 WARNING messages



세번째로 /sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc stop 을 한후

/sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc start 를 했는데 결과는 아래와 같습니다.



erp@root:/root# /sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc stop

erp@root:/root# /sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc start

/sbin/init.d/dtlogin.rc: -l: This is not an identifier.



네번째로 # xclock 를 실행시켜 보았는데 결과는 아래와 같습니다.



erp@root:/root# xclock

Error: Can't open display:

Error: Couldn't find per display information



아 암담합니다. 어떻게 해야할지를 모르겠네요 ㅠㅠ

저도 CDE 를 설치하고 싶은데 어떻게 설치해야할지를 잘

모르겠습니다. 현재 Server에 CDE 가 설치되어있는지도 잘 모르겠고

설치되어있어도 다시 설치해도 되는건지~

어떤지 잘 모르겠네여~



그리고 설치후 설정사항은 어떻게 되는지 ㅡㅡ
