저희 서버 모델은 HP9000 A400-44 입니다.



GSP f/w, stm 업그레이드 하는 방법을 알려주시면 감사하겠습니다.



제가 HP 초보입니다. 자세히 일러주시면 좋겠습니다.

설치는

패치가 필요하고

* * * * * * * UNPACKING THE FIRMWARE * * * * * * * * * * * * * *



1. FTP "PF_CHARGSPC0214.tar.gz" to an empty directory.



2. Use the "gunzip" to unzip the patch.



# gunzip PF_CHARGSPC0214.tar.gz



3. Use the "tar" command to extract the firmware files



# tar -xvf *tar

x C0214.bin, 2173644 bytes, 4246 tape blocks

x Resources.out, 504267 bytes, 985 tape blocks

x gsp_a_upg.cnf, 200 bytes, 1 tape blocks

x version.dat, 16 bytes, 1 tape blocks



4. Verify the checksum of the files in the temporary directory

using the "cksum" command. Results of the command should be

equal to the following ouput.



# cksum *

1537136308 504267 Resources.out

2488838608 200 gsp_a_upg.cnf

4278717776 16 version.dat

To update the firmware on the GSP, perform the following steps:

FTP the files to a system with the core I/O lan on the same subnet as the

GSP



1. Access the GSP using the ctrl+b command from the local console keyboard.

2. Ping the LAN where the GSP files are located via the XD command item #3

(LAN access PING)

Non destructive tests :

1. Parameters checksum

2. I2C access (get Power Monitor status)

3. LAN access (PING)

4. Modem selftests

5. Secondary I2C access (get System status)



Type R to reset the GSP or to quit the diagnostic menu.

Enter IP Address: 192.151.11.37/or your system (core I/O) LAN address



This test must pass on the server being used to supply the update files.

3. Reset the GSP via the XD command (use the R option). This will free up any

unallocated memory for the GSP update.

4. Select the GSP command XU. This command activates the upgrade mode.

Update the GSP firmware to the C.02.10 firmware.

답변 감사합니다. 그런데 한가지 질문이 있어서요...



GSP> xd 를 하게되면...



1. IP를 넣고

2. 파일 패스 지정 : /tmp/GSP

- /tmp/GSP 내에 4개의 파일 존재



3. Enter Login : none (GSP에대한 id/pwd 없음)

4. Enter Password : none



를 하게되면



Unable to login to source system



이란 메세지가 나오면서 firmware 업그레이드가 안되었다고 나옵니다.



어떻게 하면 업그레이드 할 수 있는지요?



그리고, login ID / pwd 를 지정하려면 어떻게 하는지요? 그것때문에 에러가 난것 같은데...

하시면 GSP login 및 password를 지정할수 있습니다.



그럼~~

list 하시면 GSP 에서 사용할수 있는 모든 명령어가 나옵니다.

ftp 서버 를 어떤 서버로 사용하나요?



pc 라면 gsp 와 pc를 크로스캐이블로 연결해서 알ftp 로 서버실행할때 아이디와 패스워드를 주면 되죠..



물론 pc 에서 유저를 만들어 놓으셔도 됩니다. 예) test/test



혹은..



크로스캐이블로 gsp 와 lan card 를 연결했으면..



자체 서버가 ftp 서버가 되죠.. 그럼 root 로 로그인하셔도 되구요/..
