password aging 관련 문의

user를 생성후 password aging을 부여하였습니다.



# passwd -d -f -x 30 userid



최초 user의 passwd를 삭제하고 login시에 user가 직접 입력토록 하였으며 30일을 passwd age로 설정하였습니다.



# passwd -s userid

test:/etc> passwd -s userid

userid NP 11/13/03 0 35



그런데 passwd -s userid를 하니 NP(no password)는 나오는데 뒷부분에 0, 35는 이해가 잘 안가네요.

이 숫자가 무엇을 의미하는지 알려주세요.

아래 답변글을 찾아보니 1970/01/01 때문에 그렇다는 글도 있던데 정확하게 이해가 되지가 않습니다.

-s name Display some password attributes associated with the

specified name. Superuser privilege and non-trusted

mode is required if the files repository is specified.

For nisplus, there are no restrictions.



The format of the display will be:



name status mm/dd/yy min max warn



or, if password aging information is not present



name status



where status PS=passworded; LK=locked; and NP=no

password.

패스워드를 변경해야하는 기간을 말하는것 같네요..



0일~ 35일까지 그이후에는 패스워드를 변경할수없다.
