256x serial printer configuration codes

I have 4 256x printers all with serial interfaces and, would you believe it, no technical reference manual or serial port configuration information......

I know that printer params 20, 21, 22 are all involved but have no idea of the selections that are available to me..

Any help greatfully appreciated......

Please give more information on what you are trying to do with these printers, ie install them etc.
