Changing an IP ADRESS of a printer in the HP

We use an HP3000 MPE/iX, user version C.55.00.

How can we change an IP address of a printer in the HP?

Type NMMGR
OPEN DIRECTORY
UPDATE DIR
type its node name and MODIFY
SAVE
EXIT
no need to validate.

There are a bunch of ways network printers are setup this may not be all that you need to do, but is at least one of the steps you will need to take.

If it is a spooled printer, then edit the NPCONFIG.PUB.SYS file and change th IP address there. Then to activate the changed address, do a stopspool XX then A startspool XX. This will then pick up the new info in npconfig
Why did anyone invent unix?

You did not mention whether your printers are defined in NPCONFIG.PUB or if you are using a 3rd party package such as ESPUL or SPOOLMATE. This info is needed in order to give you an accurate answer.
