Does the vanilla a500 come with a 10/100 bt lan port or do you have to order an nic seperately?
TIA

Re: a500

Hi Ross,

The 100BaseT lan card is a standard feature of A-500.

Re: a500

Hi Ross,

The earlier link was for HP9000, this is the link for a500 in e3000, but the 10/100 lan card is still a standard feature.

Re: a500

From the PCI 100Base-T Network Adapter Installation and Service Guide that can be found at www.docs.hp.com

There are two options available for connecting the PCI-based HP e3000 system to a 10/100Base-T LAN: the RJ-45 LAN connection port on the Core I/O card (included with the base system hardware), or the PCI 10/100Base-TX add-on adapter card (A5230A) for the HP e3000. Both cards support 10Mbits/s and 100Mbits/s Fast Ethernet operation as well as full and half-duplex modes.
