model string for 979KS server

Hi;
please I have an urgent matter .I have changed the model string and swcap with the ss_config on the 9x9KS server :
model string (MPE):979-400
sw_cap :0x01.

and when the system reboot I have checked in the PDC command menu --> information--> processor it doesn't display the model string (blank) but it display the swcap :0x0101.

and when I try to reboot from the sysgen tape 927LX the halt with these FLT :

FLT 5408
FLT 5508
FLT 500B
FLT CBF0
FLT CBF5
FLT CBFC

PLEASE CAN SOMEONE ADVISE .THANKS IN ADVANCE.

First of all, what was the original model string and SW_CAP? Was this an upgrade to an existing MPE system? What was the original model (9x9KS)? What version of SS_Config did you use? Does this version support the 9x9KS platform? Why are you using a 927LX sysgen tape versus a 9x9 sysgen tape?

I'll assume that since you're using ss_config that you work for HP or are authorized to use this?

thanks for your reply ; in fact I want to convert one HP9000 machine K260 to it's correspondent HP3000 .I have one client that has a problem with his system motherboard on the HP3000.
the initial model string was 9000/889/K460.
sw_cap :0xF0.
I have assumed that the correspondent of the K260 is the HP3000 979KS .thanks in advance.
the version of the ss_config : A.02.99.

Conversion of a 9000 system to a 3000 system is something I'm sure HP would not approve. This is for many reasons, primarily financial. The licensure for an HP3000 (proprietary) system is much different than that of the (open) HP9000 licensure. If someone requires a system board replacement, I would suggest you contact your local HP office. I beleive the ss_config is also a Strictly Licensed and Maintained facility for HP personnel only.

I have done several HP 3000 DRP exercises in the past and believe you are still missing the sw_id entry that is based on the original HP 3000 product number and serial number.
P/n for 979KS/400 is either A3288B (979KS/100) or the older A3291A (979KS/400)
