4 Port 1 Gb Ethernet adapter - label error
The latest HPE 3PAR StoreServ 8000 Storage Self-install guide has an update regarding a labeling issue with the 4 port 1G Ethernet Adapter card for the 3PAR 8000 array.
The current card H6Z05A “3PAR StoreServ 8000 4-port 1Gb Ethernet Adapter” is labeled Port 0 through Port 3. However, the card should have been labeled Port 1 through Port 4.
For more details, please see the latest “HPE 3PAR StoreServ 8000 Storage Self-install guide” at
http://www.hpe.com/support/3PAR8000CSI
and the Troubleshooting section concerning “Incorrect labeling on 4-port 1Gb Ethernet Adapters”.
Thanks.

Re: 4 Port 1 Gb Ethernet adapter - label error
UPDATE
Some shipments from the factory may now have the updated label for the 4 port 1G Ethernet Adapter card.
However, this is not the case worldwide.
As such, please continue to use the visual inspection mechanism described in the documentation and the original forum article.
When we have further confirmation of full factory shipments and any serial numbers, we will forward on to you.
