7200 Drive Shelf on 8200?
No Way.
I'm not an HPE employee, so I can be wrong.
What are you wanting to do? If you have a 7200 and get a new 8200, then you will have two systems. The SSMC (StoreServ Management Console) software will connect to both systems letting you manage the 8200 and letting you continue to manage the 7200.
Do you want to move the volumes off the 7200 to the 8200? The 8200 should have a (temporary?) Peer Motion license which would let you move the volumes.

You probably know this external storage possibility from XP arrays, but it is not possible for 3PAR.
