3PAR I/o slow with no significant change in usage. HPE agent just ask to add disks. How to test
we purchase 3PAR storage last year, performance was good till few months back. firstly, one of the lun gets corrupeted and after that we see the whole IO performance is down by 50%. when we create ticket with HP, the agent just asked to add more discs. this cannot be the right solution, as there is no significant change in our usage over the last year.
today i am restoring a database of 500gb from veeam solution and it have not finished 50% in last 10 hours, whereas we restore the same database on a standalone test server and it gets completed within 5 hours.
how to investigate the reason of this issue and how to challenge HP to look into it properly.

Hello,
Could you please share the perf analyser logs or if Call-home is available please share the SN of Array.
If Support suggest to add more disks i guess that they seen on checkhealth disk oversubscribed.
Is there any AO or dedup used on this Array, what is disk type used for database ?

Hello,
May I sugguest you to perform "tunesys" command to analyze and detect poor layout and disk utilization across an entire 3PAR system? thanks.
