3PAR Sets - Host and Virtual Volumes
Can you move existing volumes to virtual volume sets, map to a host set, adn remove the 1:1 mapping without disruption?
Same goes for host, can you consolidate individual host HBA entries into a host set, map, and remove 1:1 without disruption.
Does it change the LUN or are the sets strictly administrative?
Thank you

Re: 3PAR Sets - Host and VVs
>Can you move existing VVs to VVsets, map to a host set, and remove the 1:1 mapping without disruption?
If the VV wasn't exported, you can add it to the VVset. If already exported, it will be exported with two different LUNs.
And if you removed the previous VLUN, it will be disruptive.

This is probably safe. Unless any VVsets in that hostset have already VVs exported to any new hosts.
>Does it change the LUN or are the sets strictly administrative?
Yes, adding exported VVs to exported VVsets will add a new LUN. And a warning to not do that.
An example of what you want to do with showvlun, showvvset and showhostset would be helpful.
