I’m currently trying to install the 3PAR Simulator, unfortunately I’m unable to install the Cluster Nodes in VMware Workstation 15.
Every time I try to open the .ovf files in Workstation, I get an error message saying:
“SHA digest of file
clus_node_template_3.2.2.MU4_field-disk1.vmdk
does not match manifest.”
I’ve tried to re-download the files with the same outcome. I also tried to delete the .mf file, after that I could install the .ovf file without any error messages but as soon as I started the VM I got an error message within the VM saying:
“error: file not found.
Entering rescue mode…”
I’m using VMware Workstation Version 15.0.0 build-10134415.

SolutionAlright, so after re-downloading the files, extracting them with WinZip, updating VMware Workstation to Version 15.0.1 and rebooting my PC it actually worked!
Not sure where the problem was, possibly with Workstation or with the files I initially downloaded.
