3PAR doesn't see ESX 4 WWNs
Hello,
we have a strange problem with one 3PAR implementation. 3PAR doesn't see ESX 4 host WWNs so we can't add ESX 4 hosts and present LUNs. It is strange because in the same deployment 3PAR sees Hyper-V 3.0 hosts without any problems and we can present LUNs to Hyper-V servers.
On SAN switch we can SEE WWNs on all ports (ESX hosts, 3PAR ports, Hyper-V hosts, old EVA ports).
We are sure zoning is configured correctly.
Any idea what could be wrong?
Thank you!
Best wishes,
Marko

Re: 3PAR doesn't see ESX 4 WWNs
I assume you are creating the host definition and trying to choose the host from a list of available WWN's?
What is the 3par model and Inform level?
Also, information from the hosts, HBA type, HBA driver, HA firmware....etc.
Switch type, model and FOS/NOS.
If zoning and physical connectivty is confirmed, then next step is to check that we are dealing with a configuration that meets interoperability requirements.
