3Par F-class, After power outage Node2 is in Joining Cluster mode
Hi,
We have 3par F400 system configured with two nodes (Node2 & Node3), four shelves, and 8 x 300 GB FC disks.
After power outage, system came up, but Node2 is in “Joining Cluster” mode, helthcheck shows “Could not check task: System power fail recovery in progress - try this command later.” Apparently the problem is not in nodes, I did swap the nodes and yet node2 is having the same issue. Node3 is up and running fine. Node status LED: Node3 – 1blink/sec, node active in cluster, Node2 – solid green, Joining cluster.
Thank you.

Re: 3Par F-class, After power outage Node2 is in Joining Cluster mode
Hello 2know3par,
Pfail / powerfail process recovery is done to restore services to the Inserv Node and to flush the data from teh data to the disks.
The issue is predominantly seen when the data from the pfail partition is able to migrate to the destination. power recovery is common after accidental powerloss. The biffer issue here is to see all your VVs and LDs are started and normal.
run a showvv or showvv -f command to check all the VV states.
Also run showld command to check the same for the LD.
Run showsysmgr to find the state of pfail.
When you siad, the node was swapped out, do you mean that the node was replaced with a new one or was it re-seated ?
