3par 8450 problem about persistent port fail_over
Hi Everyone.
I have a 3PAR 8450 connected to host(OS:SUSE 12SP3,HBA: QLE 2692 FW:v8.03.04&Driver:v9.00.00.00-k,Switch:Brocade 6510)
As the following, primary port 1:0:2 corresponds to partner persistent port 0:0:2.
N:S:P Mode State ----Node_WWN---- -Port_WWN/HW_Addr- Type Protocol Label Partner FailoverState
0:0:1 target ready 2FF70002AC019EE7 20010002AC019EE7 host FC - 1:0:1 none
0:0:2 target ready 2FF70002AC019EE7 20020002AC019EE7 free FC - 1:0:2 none
0:1:1 initiator ready 50002ACFF7019EE7 50002AC011019EE7 disk SAS DP-1 - -
0:1:2 initiator ready 50002ACFF7019EE7 50002AC011019EE7 disk SAS DP-2 - -

1:0:1 target ready 2FF70002AC019EE7 21010002AC019EE7 host FC - 0:0:1 none
1:0:2 target ready 2FF70002AC019EE7 21020002AC019EE7 host FC - 0:0:2 none
1:1:1 initiator ready 50002ACFF7019EE7 50002AC011019EE7 disk SAS DP-1 - -
1:1:2 initiator ready 50002ACFF7019EE7 50002AC011019EE7 disk SAS DP-2 - -

1:2:2 peer offline - 00110A6AB24B5 free IP - - -
1:3:1 peer loss_sync - 3464A9EA9189 fs IP IP1 - -
At this moment we can see 8 wwns of the host via cli showhost,
Id Name Persona -WWN/iSCSI_Name- Port
45 xxx xxx 21000024FF7E9D2B 0:0:2
21000024FF7E9D2A 0:0:2
21000024FF7E9D2B 1:0:2
21000024FF7E9D2A 1:0:2
21000024FF2F4293 1:0:1
21000024FF28EA84 1:0:1
21000024FF28EA85 0:0:1
21000024FF2F4292 0:0:1
I plug out the optical fiber of port 1:0:2, then 1:0:2 fail_over to 0:0:2.
After a while I replug in the optical fiber,then 1:0:2 fail_back.
But I check the wwns via cli showhost, the 2 wwns of port 1:0:2 were missing.
Id Name Persona -WWN/iSCSI_Name- Port
45 xxx xxx 21000024FF7E9D2B 0:0:2
21000024FF7E9D2A 0:0:2
21000024FF2F4293 1:0:1
21000024FF28EA84 1:0:1
21000024FF28EA85 0:0:1
21000024FF2F4292 0:0:1
I also checked the link, All connections are normal.
Does anyone know what is the root cause of the problem? Is there any known issues about persistent port fail_over?
And what can I do to solve this problem?
Thank you very much for any help!

Re: 3par 8450 problem about persistent port fail_over
Not showing up as partners is the problem. What do the following commands show:
showportdev fcswitch 0:0:2
showportdev fcswitch 1:0:2
Note: While I am an HPE Employee, all of my comments (whether noted or not), are my own and are not any official representation of the company
