Hi there,
As a 3par Newbie I have a simple question about the OS-Location of a 3par-SAN. Is the OS stored on the controllers like the MSA-Architecture or is it stored on the disks like some EMC-Arrays. If I have an empty Controller-Node - Can I just add some disks if I have the licenses or do I need the preconfigured HPE-Disks because there is an OS on it?
Thanks a lot

Re: 3par OS Location
Hello
3PAR architecture is different than that of MSA. The OS is actually on the Internal SSD drive of each Node. SO in case of Powerfailure, the Node cachec data will be destaged to the Internal SSD of Node and do not want to go to the DIsks in the backend.
With regard to adding Disks, you need to have the License according to the number of the Disks.
Thanks!
