3par storeServ 8440 os 3.2.2. 612 (mu4)- password console ?
I'm going to install "3par storeServ 8440 os 3.2.2. 612 (mu4)"; but I have received an error as " incorrect login". Note that I used from password "cmp43pd" and username "console". Are these true ?
Best regards,

Hi,
1. Please don't key in these passwords cleartext here, hope you can edit your post and delete the password.
2. Because of reasons like #1, 3PAR now uses strong password. You need to call HPE support to get the console password.

If the System is new, this is the right User and Password for the Serial Console.
If the System is Installed the Serial Login is encryted.
Use the 3PAR Smart Start CD it will Guide you to the Setup Procedure.

Re: 3par storeServ 8440 os 3.2.2. 612 (mu4)- password console ?
I have a 4 node 8400, its OS is 3.2.2.
It is a new one and I need install and configure it.
After input 'console' when the system startup, the system wait for around 30 seconds and displayed 'login time out'.
I've tried every 4 nodes and reboot the whole 3par 8400.
Is this a product issue?
