Changing proxy and DNS IP Addresses for 3PAR SPOCC

We are looking to change the IP Addresses of proxy and DNS and this could affect the heartbeat from Service Processor to HP. Please provide needed steps to modify these ip addresses; in order to keep H.B. from our service processor.

In fact I'm still cannot modify the DNS ip address. Provided document has not details on modifying this ip address.

Sorry, misread your question.

Try this. Browse to your Service Processor, log in to SPOCC.

From the HP 3PAR Service Processor Onsite Customer Care (SPOCC) User Guide:
1. In the left navigation pane, click SPmaint.
2. Click Network Configuration.
3. Click DNS Configuration

One thing I noticed is to change the proxy you must use cpmaint user acccount and password is held by HP I think.

Hi, Yes, you are correct. Changing proxy must be done using cpmaint user acccount and password held by HP. This is the problem. We need to modify this as we are facing different issues on DNS and proxy and most of times need to modify these parameters to allow HP receiving the heartbeat from SP. It is not a logic to call HP everytime to connect remotely to modify these value. Please advise.

I thought 3parcust can add/delete DNS  too?

I usually leave DNS blank, it is not really needed.

The heartbeat doesn't need DNS.
