May somoene please tell me what is the main function of a CopyCPG on 3PAR? Do you really need to have copy CPG?

SolutionIf you want to create snapshots, the copy CPG is used to store the deltas from the snapshots. You could use the same CPG as the parent volume or use a different CPG (for reporting purpose, or different disk types/RAID levels). If you didn't define a copy CPG, you won't be able to create snapshots for that volume.

You can always add a snap CPG later with setvv.
