Different time showing in 3PAR controllers

Hi All,

I have 2 controller nodes in 3PAR array and for some reason they both are showing different time. I have tried searching option to change it but cant find one.

Please note, that the time of sevice processor shows correct and we have configured NTP as well. But when i check time on systems it shows wrong and dont see any option to change over there.

OS - 3.3.1.410 (MU2)

Hi Sandeep

Thank you for coming on HPE Community forums

I would request you to contact HPE technical support and log a case for this query to get it resolved, Cause they would help in configuring it step by step and also in running the script.

Re: Different time showing in 3PAR controllers

Hello

Please verify if NTP is configured for array using #shownet and check if NTP is configured.

To set the date using Network Time Protocol (NTP), use the "setnet ntp" command to specify an NTP server. The date willnot change immediately, as NTP corrects the time slowly to avoid issues

If not other option is to set date manually by using #setdate command. Refer below document(325)

Re: Different time showing in 3PAR controllers

Hi Sandeep,

You can correct the node time with setdate command. Syntax is 'setdate <MMDDhhmm>'. Below is the example demonstrates the complete procedure:

3PAR8440 cli% showdate
Node Date
0 2018-01-26 15:52:53 AST (Asia/Kuwait)
1 2018-01-26 15:54:03 AST (Asia/Kuwait)
3PAR8440 cli% setdate 01261555
You have specified the date as 2018-01-26 15:55:00 AST
Is this correct?
select y=yes n=no: y
Node 0 time set to 2018-01-26 15:55:00 AST
Node 1 time set to 2018-01-26 15:55:00 AST
3PAR8440 cli% showdate
Node Date
0 2018-01-26 15:55:03 AST (Asia/Kuwait)
1 2018-01-26 15:55:03 AST (Asia/Kuwait)
