Hi Everyone,
I'm new to 3par. In the IMC, what does the compaction ratio mean? And how is it caculated to 3.627:1. I suspect it's compression. But seems like there isn't any compression option I can enable or disable. Thanks for the guiding.

Re: Does compaction ratio mean compression in 3PAR?
Hi dennischen,
It's not compression. It's your overall savings from thin provisioning. See page 22 of this doc:

Re: Does compaction ratio mean compression in 3PAR?
Oh, make sense. Thanks for the help.
And still another question, can I enable compression in 3par 3.2.1 & 3.2.2? I haven't found any compression configuration.
