Grow dedup volume above 16TB
Hi,
I have a volume there is nearly full and it has been created with the deup flag.
It┬┤s 16TB already and i cant grow it anymore.
Are there any easy resolution to this problem?
Do i need to tune it to a fully provisioned volume? I don┬┤t want to take the volume offline.
Best Regards
Alex Thomsen

Re: Grow dedup volume above 16TB
Hi Alex,
If the used capacity is nearing the virtual capacity, converting to 'full provision' will not help.
Please make sure both compression and deduplication are enabled.
When the physical capacity is full, nothing else is possible. Please consider to increase the capacity.

Re: Grow dedup volume above 16TB
Hi Srinivas,
We have 25% free space on the physical disks, so i don┬┤t think that will give som issues.
The only reson i can┬┤t expand the volume is because of the 16TB limit when dedup is enabled.
I want to turn it off, but i don┬┤t know how.

Re: Grow dedup volume above 16TB
Hi,
if Space is not the Problem, use Actions > Convert or Tune
This migrates the Volume to the new Setting, Online.
Until it is finished, you need Space for both.
