Re: HPE 3PAR same physical HDD showing two ID (7200)
Why is there an ID 48?
>Because the new Disk get the next free Disk ID
(The Disk ID is not related to the Position)
dismisspd 39? keep id 48
Will it be correct?
> I would do this, but wait for a second answer, or Call the Support

Re: HPE 3PAR same physical HDD showing two ID (7200)
Dear Lucky_Chang,
The PD 48 is the replacement PD for the PD ID 39.
Upon successful completion of "servicemag resume"/rebuild of the drive at 39 the old PD ID 39 should get dismissed.
If due to some reason if this does not gets dimissed then following needs to be checked.
- Run the command the servicemag status -d 1 15
The output should be either
No servicemag operations logged.
or
The last line of the output should be
servicemag resume 1 15 -- Succeeded
- Run the command showpdch -from 39
if the output is " No chunklet information available" the drive can be dismissed with the command dimisspd 39.
- There is no need to dimisspd 48 as it is normal and is in used.
- admitpd needs to be done if the new PD has been installed .
Please let us know the result of this.
Regards,
I am an HPE employee.

Re: HPE 3PAR same physical HDD showing two ID (7200)
showpdch -from 39 => " No chunklet information available"
dismisspd 39 and keep 48
The current check is normal
Thanks for your help
