HPE SRA error after upgrade from 6.1.0.170 to 6.5.49
Hello,
I hit the below error after uograding the SRA from version 6.1.0.170 to 6.5.4.9. 3PAR model and OS is 8440 3.3.1.410 (MU2). The upgrade was need to achieve supported configuration according to the document below. Befor the upgrade everything was working fine.
Error:
Error - Failed to demote source consistency group 'nlroccus001-med-001'. SRA command 'prepareFailover' failed for consistency group 'nlroccus001-med-001'. Error. Unable to get volume history information for device. Additional information: Original InServ Data command output: 1 removevlun: Host NLROSCESX002 (vv=nlroccus001-dia-rep-med.001,lun=200) export not found
If the error is caused by insufficient privilege to issue the command, you need to check with your storage administrator for assistance. If the error is related to the network issue, you need to check if you have problem with your network connection. If you have firewall or anti-virus software installed on the system, make sure that it allows network access to the HPE 3PAR Storage Server.

What was done:
SRA reinstalled 2 times.
Certificates revalidated.
SRA user permissions in the 3PAR verfiried.
Any ideas or help is appreciated.

Re: HPE SRA error after upgrade from 6.1.0.170 to 6.5.49
The error "insufficient privilege to issue the command" usually noticed when the replicated LUN are exported with type ‘matched set’
To check this Run #showvlun -v <VV name> and output would display "0:2:1 matched set active 257"
There are couple of option to overcome this
- One new option called "unexport_devices_during_failover" is introduced in version 6.5.4 version. This option
define SRA failover behaviour during SRM Recovery operation.
By default , this option takes the value "Yes". This means SRA unexports the primary volumes and exports the
secondary volumes during failover operation. This behavior can be seen in the previous versions of SRA.
If this option is set to "no", then SRA does not involve in unexport/export volumes and performs only the
failover operation. Since it not doing any unexport and Export task during failover operation permission issue will not be seen.
- use the latest SRA version 6.5.6 which has Enhancements for matched set.
