HPe Host explorer 4
Good morning,
We recently installed HPE 3PAR host explorer for Microsoft Windows on a windows Server running Microsoft 10. According to the documentation , when installing the software on a Windows VMware vCenter explorer needs to communicate through ports TCP Port 5783 (SSL), TCP 8080 (Rest API's) and TCP 22 (ssh) optional and so just wondering whether the same ports need to be enabled when installing on a standard windows Server (not running VMware) ?
regards
Paul

Re: HPe Host explorer 4
It's been some time since I looked at Host Explorer. As I recall, a Windows host communicates over the Enclosure Device LUN (254). Once the Windows host is zoned to the 3PAR, have you tried the "TpdHostAgent push" command?
Note: While I am an HPE Employee, all of my comments (whether noted or not), are my own and are not any official representation of the company

Re: HPe Host explorer 4
Hi Sheldon ,
Thanks for the feedback. I'll look to get it zoned to the 3PAR and then give that command a try.
p.s
I'm assuming that once zoned, Host explorer will automatically have visibility of the 3PAR storage so wont need to tell Host explorer IP of the 3PAR enclosure , (so it know where to push the host information to) ?
C:\Users\pc-admin>TpdHostAgent push 10.192.23.213
Error: No 3PAR Enclosure device found in the system
