Could you please to guide me how to shut down 3PAR SAN for maintaince plan. Please reivew the scenario as below:
In case of power outage, the UPS can not handle for long time we need to shutdown all the SAN System:

Re: How to shutdown 3PAR 7200 for maintaince?
I see two questions.
For maintenance, see the HP 3PAR StoreServ 7000 Storage Troubleshooting Guide, chapter 3, for instructions on powering down and back up.
For power outage, the controller nodes' cache memory is written to the nodes' on-board disk. The process is reversed when power comes back on, then the controllers finish any IOs that were in flight at the time of the power outage to the physical disks.

I was just discussing this yesterday.
The consensus was you can't. If you have to turn off the power to service, you're usually right there.
There is no iLO nor a connection from the SP to do that.

Re: How to shutdown 3PAR 7200 for maintaince?
Hi Flera,
Agree with Dennis that these can't be powered on remotely. But 3PAR StoreServ boots automatically upon power restore. So if you are able to switch off and switch on circuits on UPS (assuming that these are smart UPS with remote management module), 3PAR nodes will start booting after power restore.
Hope that helps.

Why on earth would you reference another document (and not link to it, I might add) instead of just posting the answer?!

There were two pages there, with Notes and Cautions and with fancy formatting. :-)
