Installing HP 3par 10400 additional disk rack

Hi All,

Can anyone please let me know whether installing the additional disk rack requires a service outage to the array ?

It will depend on the number of free ports used for the disks, but normally this is an online task - to be done by hp service personnel.

Thank You Torsten for your reply. Is their any other consideration at the time of installing the additional disk rack.

 

Somewhere i read that additional disk rack requires support of four controllers at a minimum.

There are a couple of details to consider, once you decide to buy the upgrade, the 3par team will care about all preperation and will create a detailed upgrade plan for you. Talk to your hp contact.
