Hello Florinacios,
Can you please open ports 443 and 8443 both and try?

Re: Migrate SSMC 3.3.1 to 3.7.2
The connection on 8443 is working but on 443 is not and there is no firewall in the middle as both SSMC windows installation VM and the appliance are in the same subnet ...
Is it mandatory to have 443?
Unfortunately i have the same error even if 8443 is working and also the appliance is reachable from the VM which has ssmc installed. Could someone help me with this problem please?

Description : This tool migrates the data and configurations from existing SSMC running instance
to the new SSMC appliance for a smooth and easy upgrade from lower SSMC version to SSMC appliance.
Warning: The migration will replace any certificate configured on the target SSMC appliance.
Since the migrated certificate may not be intended for the appliance, you may need to reconfigure the certificate again after migration.
See the HPE 3PAR StoreServ Management Console Administrator Guide for more details.
Enter the SSMC appliance IP address: XXXXXXXX
Enter SSMC appliance 'ssmcadmin' user password to proceed:
>>> Fetching existing data from C:\ProgramData\Hewlett Packard Enterprise\SSMC\data
>>> Initiating data migration
>>> Unable to connect to the SSMC appliance, please check if the given IP is valid and reachable from this machine.
Also ensure that the appliance is running on the port:8443
The SSMC service is currently stopped. If you intend to use this previous version of SSMC again, start the service manually.
Press any key to continue . . .

Re: Migrate SSMC 3.3.1 to 3.7.2
Hello florinacios,
443 is no more required. You will be using only 8443 in v3.7.2.

Re: Migrate SSMC 3.3.1 to 3.7.2
You most likly have hit a known problem that is tracked as CFI26444 and fixed in SSMC 3.8.
You either should first migrated to SSMC 3.7 (not 3.7.2) and then update to 3.7.2, or you wait for SSMC 3.8, which may be available at the end of this month. SSMC 3.8 will contain a fix for that problem.
If you need further assistance please open a support case.

Re: Migrate SSMC 3.3.1 to 3.7.2
Hello,
I have just updated the appliance to 3.8 but i have the same error when trying to perform the migration with the tool.
Both appliance and Windows Server where the SSMC is installed are in the same network and the port 8443 is reachable from the windows server.
Can someone provide some support please on this issue?
BR,
Florin
