New HP 3PAR 7400 service controller not joining cluster
We purchased a new service controller from HP for our 2 node HP 3PAR 7400 to replace node 1 which failed. We moved the old sandisk from the old controller to the new one as instructed and installed and did a 'startnoderescue -node 1' which appeared to work other than not being able to join the cluster after 30 minutes.
I've seen descriptions on using 'whack' to fix some entries but the console does not let me in with CTRL-W as described. What I have noticed is that after the node rescue the green light stays on but there is also a flashing amber light on the interconnect port.
Any help would be greatly appreciated since this has been down for a while.

Re: New HP 3PAR 7400 service controller not joining cluster
Hello djryan,
First of all, if you have received the node from HPE, the support can help you in getting the node in cluster. Also, the new node should have come with a new disk as well and can try using the same.
I assume you are able to watch the boot screen of the new node. Is it reaching the 'login' prompt after the rescue?
Note: You might need to hold down the CTRL key while typing w h a c k for getting the node to Whack mode
